PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

The best strategy for your graduate application is to start early, make contact with the program officer or graduate coordinator in the programs you want to apply to and reach out to a prospective adviser.

I currently work with students in the Food Systems Program and the Data Science and Complex Systems Program

The following are characteristics and experiences that I look for in potential students:

  • Experience and/or strong interest in multidisciplinary research.

  • A systems approach to thinking.

  • Existing experience or strong interest in learning quantitative methods and approaches including large scale survey design, data science, structural equation modelling, and working with large datasets using data science.

  • A commitment to working with diverse people and stakeholders, respecting different perspectives.

My current research is primarily focused in the United States and New Zealand, not other international regions.  If you are interested in discussing your potential graduate school application and my research further I encourage you to explore my research projects and publications and then email me with a copy of your CV/resume and your specific areas of interest that align with my work.

Meredith along with other faculty and students in the food systems graduate program enjoy a homemade lunch together during one of the Food Systems graduate program courses.
